Viewpoint For Projects was named 2020 Collaboration Product of the Year in the Construction Computing Awards.

We are proud to announce that Viewpoint has won the 2020 “Collaboration Product of the Year Award” for its cloud-based document and information management solution — Viewpoint For Projects (VFP), while our parent company, Trimble, also netted top honours at this year’s Construction Computing Awards. This year marked the 15th edition of the Construction Computing Awards and the 10th consecutive year Viewpoint has won collaboration product of the year.

Why Viewpoint For Projects is a Winner for Contractors

Viewpoint’s award winning product — Viewpoint For Projects — is a cloud-based document and information management solution which enables customers to share, control and collaborate on project documents with dispersed project teams.

VFP is the UK’s most used Common Data Environment solution (NBS BIM Report 2020) with a very strong global reach. The solution is trusted by over half a million users in the construction space, with customers relying on VFP’s stringent security standards to manage their complex supply chains.

VFP features leading-edge document management capabilities, providing a single source for all documents, drawings, photos and file types shared by the right people at the right time. The latest versions of documents are always immediately available, and users can view documents regardless of the software program in which they were created; no native app is necessary. Documents are also available to access offline so that users can still work when no internet connectivity exists.

“We’re able to record what is going on in real time so if there are any issues we can then go back to the event as if it was yesterday to find out what has and has not occurred so we can move along more proactively,” said James Henderson, senior design coordinator with Willmott Dixon, a Viewpoint client and VFP user.

Trimble Wins ‘Best Structural Engineering Software,’ ‘Company of the Year’

We are also delighted to announce our parent company Trimble won “Structural Engineering Software of the Year” for its Tekla Structural Designer product, and Trimble also won the “Company of the Year” award. Viewpoint was acquired by Trimble in 2018 and the integration and collaborations are strengthening day by day.

About “The Hammers” Process:

The Hammers Awards are one of the UK's premier honors for construction technology developers.

Better known as “The Hammers”, the Construction Computing Awards represent an excellent opportunity for construction companies involved in engineering projects of all sizes (commercial buildings, residential and social housing, civil projects) to claim recognition for their business and operations undertaken over the past year.

The final results are decided by the Construction Computing Magazine reader base through a voting system combined with the decisions of a panel of judges composed of experts from across the industry.
