Collaborate 2021: 9 Great Reasons to Attend the Viewpoint User Conference

Viewpoint CEO Manolis Kotzabasakis speaks during the 2019 Collaborate opening session.

Viewpoint’s Collaborate user conference turns the big 1-0 this September and registration is now open! Over the last decade, tens of thousands of construction contractors and business leaders have gathered in Portland, Oregon, to connect and learn about leading industry best practices and the latest technology developments.

Why attend? Viewpoint Collaborate is free and open to ALL construction industry professionals (not just customers!). You’ll find specific learning tracks for Vista and Spectrum customers, the latest economic findings from Dodge Data, tips on building diversity — plus the “Lightbulb Sessions” — featuring some of the coolest projects and workflows from our award-winning customers!

If that’s not enough, here are 9 more reasons to attend Viewpoint Collaborate:

1. More (free) training

Last year, our users asked for more Spectrum and Vista product training — and we listened. This year’s conference is packed with sessions like “Hidden Vista Gems You Might Be Missing,” “Next-Level Configurations that Save Time & Effort,” and “The Coolest Things Customers are Doing with Spectrum.”

In addition to the two-day conference, we’ve added a third day with complimentary instructor-led and self-guided training, based on your session choices. (Upgrade your ticket with a paid, interactive training session.)

2. It’s virtual

Nothing beats the energy of an in-person conference, and we miss seeing our customers in person. As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, the conference will be virtual again, to prioritize your health and safety. That means you can attend from anywhere, without spending money on travel or the hassle of taking time off from work. (Plus you can wear your sweatpants and no one will ever know.)

3. It’s free!

Did we mention Collaborate 2021 is free? ‘Nuff said.

Each year, Viewpoint's Collaborate conference brings thousands of contractors together for days of learning, networking, training and much more!

4. Earn CPEs

You can earn up to six continual professional education (CPE) credits toward maintaining or updating your credentials, with clear, specific learning objectives in every session.

5. Sessions for both on-premise and hosted platform users

We get it: Not everyone works in the cloud. That’s why we have session tracks that are specific to Vista and Spectrum users, whether you’re using cloud-based Viewpoint One or running our construction software with your own on-premise servers.

And if you’re a ProContractor user? To focus on your specific needs, ProContractor users are getting their own conference! Learn more and register for the first annual ProContractor Summit, October 5-6, 2021.

6. Tips, tricks and best practices from the experts

Look for sessions with specific, actionable best-practices that you can use right away. In addition to solution-specific sessions, Collaborate 2021 also includes hot industry topics like diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), employee retention, cybersecurity, cash-flow forecasting and more, from construction experts. Each Collaborate conference has featured powerhouse keynote speakers (clockwise from top left: former NFL long-snapper Jon Dorenbos; Viewpoint general manager Matt Harris; motivational speaker Mel Robbins; Pursuit of Happyness author Chris Gardner).

7. New product updates

We have some big news to share about our products and services and what these developments will mean for you! What’s happening, you ask? We’ve already said too much. To be the first to see what’s coming down the pipe, get your Collaborate 2021 ticket now!

8. Network with peers

Despite being virtual, Collaborate 2021 still offers plenty of networking opportunities. Our event software makes it easy to connect 1:1 or in groups, so you can talk shop with your peers and make new connections. Just bring your own food and drink!

9. Construction industry metrics and benchmark data

Our Quarterly Metrics Index Report for Q2 will be released for the first time at the Collaborate conference. Be the first to get this report with regional, vertical-specific data on project starts, contract values, hiring, cash flow and more.

Past Collaborate attendees rave about the learning experiences they have, including peer-led panel sessions and networking activities.

The 10th Viewpoint User Conference is about more than just construction software. It’s a welcoming community of construction professionals who want to run a better business, manage through change and get the most from their technology investments. If that sounds like you, join us for Collaborate 2021!
