3D Widget Platform is a local widget engine for the delivery, installation, and management of widgets that brings the Enliven interactive experience to the desktop.

3D Visuals

3D Widget Platform works in conjunction with the Viewpoint Media Player, a high quality 3D engine, to seamlessly display interactive 3D models, Adobe Flash interfaces, and streaming video - making it the most versatile media player in the market.

Audio and Video

Integrate Flash 9 audio and video in 2D or 3D environments.

Online Tracking

Track a number of metrics including feature interaction rates, click through rates, and interaction time. Unicast will work one-on-one with you to help set up tracking and analyze report data.

Live Content

Deliver the latest news, weather, or product information via RSS. Easily push new content to your widget. Our 3DW security policy currently requires that the widget creators be able to enable appropriate cross domain permissions on their feed server.

Notice: International characters are not yet supported by the RSS parser.

Shortcuts

Upon installation, a widget shortcut is created in the Start menu and (optionally) on the desktop, providing marketers and publishers with a persistent presence outside of the browser. Inactive widgets reside in the Windows taskbar tray.

Widget Authoring

3D Widgets are authored just as Viewpoint Media Player content is today; the only difference is that widgets have hooks (specified in a .3dw file) to identify and register the content as a widget that can be run from the desktop.

Widget Installation and Management

3D Widget Platform handles the delivery, installation, launch, and management of of widgets.

Information Storage

The 3DW platform provides for local data storage.
